New York – Zaytoun News
Yesterday, U.S. President Donald Trump faced two embarrassing moments on his way to deliver a speech at the United Nations. The moving walkway stopped just as he and his wife Melania were about to ascend, and the teleprompter screen froze at the start of his speech, forcing him to read from prepared notes.
Technically, these incidents could be explained as brief electrical or technical malfunctions. However, for both to happen on the same day, back-to-back, it almost seems as if the United Nations was retaliating against Trump, as if these were two deliberate acts of vengeance.
Whether mere coincidences, simple technical failures, or a precise intentional act, the message remains clear, this could be the maximum “punishment” the United Nations can give to a president who insists on his unilateral approach, especially after the U.S. used its veto just days ago against recognizing the State of Palestine and ending the war in Gaza.
During his roughly one-hour speech, Trump began by discussing domestic U.S. issues, praising the country and himself. He claimed that the United States is experiencing a “golden era” and that he personally ended seven wars, arguing that this achievement qualifies him for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Trump also criticized the United Nations over the moving walkway and teleprompter malfunction, claiming these incidents disrupted his visit and threw off his speech.
He singled out European allies for harsh criticism, attacking the continent over its investments in renewable energy and its open-border policies for migrants.
“I love Europe and I love its people, and I hate to see it destroyed by energy and migration policies. This two-headed monster destroys everything it touches… You strive to follow correct political steps while paving the way to destroy your heritage,” Trump said.
Addressing the world, he added: “I am extremely skilled in this area. Your countries are heading toward collapse.”
