Gaza – Zaytoun News
The Israeli occupation committed on Friday a new massacre in the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip, killing at least 18 Palestinians and injuring others, mostly children and women.
The occupation bombed the house of Rwziq al-Baba, which sheltered displaced people on Al-Manshiya Street in Beit Lahiya, killing and wounding several civilians. Israeli forces targeted civilians who tried to recover the bodies of victims and transport the wounded to the hospital using a wagon pulled by a sledgehammer, raising the number of victims to at least 18.
The Israeli bombardment of the area is still ongoing, with Israeli forces targeting every moving object.
Local media said that at least 70 civilians were killed in two massacres committed by the occupation forces against al-Baba family home today, Friday, and the Ahmed family home yesterday, Thursday, the details of which have come to light today.
The victims of the massacre that targeted the Ahmed family home resulted in the killing of five brothers, their wives and children, in addition to several displaced persons, without further details due to the difficulty of movement and access.
The Israeli occupation’s ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in the killing of 44,363 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and the injury of another 105,070 others.
This toll is still incomplete, as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or scattered along roads, unreachable by ambulance and rescue teams due to the relentless Israeli shelling and the massive amount of debris.
