The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that approximately 550 residents of the Gaza Strip left on Wednesday for various countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Romania, and other European Union countries. According to sources, most of the evacuees are patients and their companions.
According to Hebrew sources, so far more than 5,000 Gaza residents have left via the “Lumbi” crossing or Ramon Airport.
The Israeli occupied army announced the opening of a temporary route through Salah al-Din Street in Gaza for 48 hours, aiming to allow civilians to move from central Gaza City to southern areas less affected by ongoing military operations. This measure comes within the context of the ongoing Israeli offensive on the city.
Salah al-Din Street, the main artery connecting the north and west of the Gaza Strip to its south, remains the key route. Despite the opening of the road, voluntary displacement remains limited due to security risks and harsh humanitarian conditions, leaving Gaza civilians trapped between the threat of death and forced displacement.
