The Palestinian Football Association said that the number of football players in the Gaza Strip has reached more than 353, including 91 children and 262 young men, since the beginning of the occupation’s aggression on October 7, 2023.
The association, in a statement, that 546 people from the Palestinian sports and scouting movements have been killed since the beginning of the war.
It pointed out that 108 from the Olympic sports federations have been killed, in addition to 85 from the Palestinian scouting movement, explaining that two brothers, Muhammad and Mahmoud Khalifa, were martyred yesterday in the occupation’s bombing of their home in Nuseirat.
He pointed out that the martyr Muhammad was a player in the Hilal Gaza Club, and also played in the national youth team, while his brother Mahmoud played in the Ahli Nuseirat Club.
