Nine international unions have filed an official complaint against Israel with the International Labour Organization (ILO) on behalf of approximately 200,000 Palestinian workers.
According to the Associated Press, the complaint demands compensation for thousands of workers who have not received their wages since October 7. The focus is on the violations faced by Palestinian workers, including delayed payments and harsh working conditions.
This move marks a significant step in international pressure on Israel to address its responsibilities towards these workers, particularly as their situation deteriorates due to Israeli policies.
The complaint aligns with growing international efforts to improve conditions for Palestinian workers and hold Israel accountable for ongoing violations.
